Building a United and Competitive Transport Sector Since 2015
Transporters Association of Tanzania
The Transporters Association of Tanzania (TAT) is a voluntary, non-profit, membership-based national association established in 2015 to represent and advance the interests of transporters, truck owners, and logistics stakeholders across Tanzania. The association was formed to create a unified platform through which transporters could collectively engage government institutions, regulatory authorities, private sector partners, and regional stakeholders on matters affecting the road transport industry. TAT exists to ensure that the transport sector operates in a fair, efficient, safe, and sustainable manner, contributing meaningfully to national development and regional trade.

WHO WE ARE
TAT is the recognized collective voice of transporters in Tanzania. Our membership comprises small, medium, and large fleet owners operating across domestic and cross-border transport corridors. The association brings together industry players with a shared commitment to professionalism, compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the transport sector. Through unity and structured engagement, TAT strengthens the position of transporters and ensures their concerns are addressed through dialogue rather than fragmentation.
OUR BACKROUND

Since its inception, TAT has actively engaged with:
• Government ministries and agencies
• Regulatory and enforcement authorities
